Hello, dear and wonderful Green Wood Coffee House patrons!
This is GWCH director, Katie Geddes, reaching out to you.
As most of you know, from 2022 through 2024, we held a successful crowdfunding campaign in order to build our Out Of Eden concert barn. Of the approximately $240,000 spent to build the barn, about $30,000 came from crowdfunding. THANK YOU SO MUCH, generous donors!
At this time, we find that we need help in raising funds for programming. Some of our favorite perennial artists have a performance fee that is outside our typical fee guarantee.
Over the last 20 years, the GWCH Series has never broken even. We’ve always preferred to keep the ticket prices low and the artist performance fee guarantee generous. I happily subsidized and sponsored our Series, myself, along with one angel donor.
Alas, I retired in 2022, and am not able to subsidize and sponsor at the same level!
This fall, we find that we will need additional sponsorship in order to schedule some GWCH favorites, including Carla Cooke and the Juggernaut Jug Band.
If you have the desire, and are in a position, to donate toward 2026 programming, please reach out to me. My email is katiegeddes@provide.net. We will happily offer perks such as free admission for a certain duration, artist CDs, and, for larger donations, private concerts for you in your home or in the concert barn.
